RebeccaAug 20, 2013I ordered a chicken tikka kebab from here and I was highly disappointed in what I was given, that it actually made me quite angry. The chicken tasted like it was coated in a thick powder, that tasted like nothing but salt. the chicken tasted of salt, as did the salad, sauce and naan bread. They also completely drowned my food in sauce, that was supposed to have been garlic mayo, but just tasted like salt. I asked for salad on top but they just gave me a tiny sprinkle of lettuce. Thank goodness that when they asked me if a wanted salt on it I said no, otherwise I'd probably be having a heart attack right now. I like salt, but that was ridiculous. Nice friendly people though.
Paula and PushkerDec 9, 2012Hi I am replying to the previous comment, at Raaz express we pride ourselves on our food and our customer service, I can assure you that this incident was a one off and we get nothing but excellent reports. I spoke to my staff about this matter, we were having problems with our Bain Marie but this is no excuse for you receiving cold kebab, our normal practice is for the customer to receive a freshly cooked dish if there is any problems and not for it to be reheated, I was disgusted when I read this and the member of staff has been dealt with! This was unacceptable and he knows better! I can ensure you we do probe our meat etc and all of our staff are aware of food hygiene regulations. If you and your wife would like to call in with us I will personally see that you will receive a meal on us and I can guarantee you that there will be no problems.... I am sorry once again for your experience with us and I hope you do come back... Regards
DaveNov 18, 2012Ordered 2 kebabs today from their special offer 2 for £5, when food arrived the kebab meat was cold. I took the kebabs back and after feeling all over the kebabs the server agreed and told me his bain marie wasn't working. I suggested heating the meat on grill or in microwave. kebabs brought to us 5 mins later, the same ones that the server had pawed all over and with the lettuce and onions roasting as he had just microwaved everything. Told server this wasn't good enough and requested a refund. The server initially refused as he said that's how they i asked him to heat the meat and it always goes cold between leaving the bain marie and the customer eating ?.
I told him just to refund me and it might be a good idea to maybe probe the meat in future instead of pawing all over it then serving it to customers. The server at this point threw my £5 at me and my wife and started muttering.
These guys are obviously oblivious to food hygiene regulations and hot holding temperatures. They have no cop on regarding customer service and in my opinion shouldn't be running a take away.
Avoid this place at all cost.
